This learning activity prepares school nurses for the back-to-school transition by strengthening clinical assessment and care coordination skills for neurodiverse students, including those with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, and learning disabilities. Through current inclusion data, practical case studies on differentiating somatic complaints from sensory or anxiety-driven presentations, and guidance on medication management, masking and burnout, documentation, and IHP/IEP/504 collaboration, nurses will gain concrete tools to support neurodiverse students' health, regulation, and full participation in the classroom.
