Course Description
This learning activity examines chorioamnionitis and intrauterine inflammation or infection (Triple I) from a nursing practice perspective, covering pathophysiology, risk factors, diagnostic criteria, intrapartum management, and neonatal outcomes. Nurses will explore evidence-based antibiotic therapy, fetal and maternal monitoring priorities, and the application of antimicrobial stewardship principles across both the intrapartum and postpartum periods, equipping them to recognize early warning signs, communicate clinical concerns effectively, and advocate for optimal outcomes for both the birthing patient and newborn.
