Course Description
This learning activity prepares nurses to implement Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols in ambulatory settings. Nurses will learn evidence-based interventions across the perioperative continuum, including preoperative optimization, multimodal pain management, early mobilization, and PONV prevention. The content emphasizes nurse-specific roles in patient education, risk assessment, and protocol individualization while addressing specialty-specific applications in orthopedic, gynecologic, colorectal, and thoracic surgery. Participants will gain competency in implementing core ERAS components while identifying contraindications and adapting evidence-based pathways to individual patient needs.
