Course Description

This learning activity equips nurses with evidence-based neonatal resuscitation competencies based on the 2020 AHA Guidelines, 2023 focused update, and NRP 8th Edition. The content covers critical assessment skills using the three initial questions, current practices including delayed cord clamping and elimination of routine meconium suctioning, systematic intervention strategies from positive pressure ventilation to advanced airway management, and essential team dynamics and communication skills required for effective newborn emergency care during the vulnerable transition from intrauterine to extrauterine life.
