Course Description
This learning activity examines the growing role of robotics in nursing practice, exploring four major categories of clinical robotic technology - logistics and disinfection robots, surgical assist platforms, rehabilitation exoskeletons, and social and AI-powered monitoring systems - along with the evidence supporting their use. It addresses the ethical responsibilities nurses carry as integrators of these technologies, applying the foundational principles of biomedical ethics to realistic clinical scenarios. Strategies for advocating responsible, equitable, and patient-centered robotics implementation are also discussed, equipping nurses to engage critically and confidently with an increasingly automated care environment.
